Firm History
The firm is led by John McVeigh, who has many years’ experience in dealing with a broad range of clients, both on a national and international basis.
John McVeigh & Co offers the full range of accountancy, audit and advisory services with specialist knowledge in corporate finance, forensic accounting and commercial resolution disputes, as well as advising on complex corporate matters and working at senior Board level.
The firm has worked with the property sector both in the UK and abroad, and has managed the treasury and banking function of a major international property investment portfolio.

John McVeigh
John graduated from The Queens University of Belfast in 1976 with an honours degree in economics. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1979 before joining the KPMG International Career Programme in the USA, returning to Dublin in 1982, subsequently joining Arthur Andersen in Belfast in 1983 as a senior audit manager. In 1986 he set up his own practice, John McVeigh & Co, where he has been the senior partner since that time.
John specialises in business advisory services, including corporate finance, forensic accounting and advising owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors. He holds a number of non-executive director positions in Northern Ireland.
Stephanie Humes
Stephanie graduated from the University of Ulster in 1996 with an honours degree in accounting. Stephanie commenced a training contract with John McVeigh & Co in 1996 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000.
Stephanie is responsible for the management of a wide variety of accounting and audit assignments, including family businesses and professional practices. She also is responsible for tax compliance and advice services for both corporate and personal clients.
